An Update on Smashwords

Last week, I wrote two posts about CRUSHED no longer being available on Smashwords. I’m happy to report that after writing to Mark Coker, the CEO of Smashwords, he promptly and personally responded to me.

As a former business owner, I’m impressed with Mark’s commitment to his company and appreciate him taking the time to hear my concerns. He offered to have CRUSHED re-reviewed, and the next day I received this email from Aaron, the reviewer who had originally asked me to remove the book:

Good morning, Dawn.

After discussing your book with Mark, your book has been republished and approved.

Best wishes,

I was delighted to find CRUSHED wasn’t just relisted on Smashwords, but that they had taken an extra step and immediately placed it into the premium distribution stream. Why is this important? Well, that’s how books get on to iBooks, Kobo, Sony, and other ebook retailers in the most efficient way. As of this writing, CRUSHED is available in ebook form on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Smashwords. Starting next week, it should be available on the other sites. Even better: The paperback version will be released in January!

So, YAY!!!

In other news, Larkstorm is now 99-cents on Amazon until December 26th, and I’m having a poll to help me decide the next Sensitives short story.
