Making Mistakes is Better Than Faking Perfection

I’m sitting here, in the sunshine, smiling. I’m happier than I’ve been in ages because I live an authentic life. No filters. No line erasers. No concealing or muddling the truth.

I understand you can’t turn back time, you can only march forward into the great unknown – and that excites me. I like challenges and change. The future holds both.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve made many mistakes, and I’ll never claim to be perfect, but I’ve learned too. I’d rather make public mistakes than live a life of fake perfection. I’ll take the humiliation of my mistakes any day over the pressure of trying to maintain a perfect image.

So take me as I am, messy and real and filter free. Or don’t take me at all.

Your choice.
